During our New Year’s reception the VCC annual report was presented. It contains match reports, statistics, records, photos and cricket cartoons, both from youth and senior teams. Two remarkable statistics from the report:
- Rutger Beekhof managed to score no less than three centuries in seven innings
- After 32 years the Beekhof brothers managed to break the previous record opening stand of VCC 4 from Dirk-Jan Smittenaar en Antoine Fraaij, scored in 1984
It has become once again a wonderful book, thanks to the contribution of various reporters and Mark Steffelaar who created the cover. It is a tradition VCC can really be proud of.
A special thanks to Dinesh Joshi who once again did a wonderful job in putting all the stats in his self-designed database and Patrick de Leede who chased the chairman, team managers, captains and did the lay-out of all input into a readable format.
