On Saturday 2 April we will open the new cricket season. This will be done by the official opening of our new indoor facility and the commissioning of the hybrid grass pitches. The opening acts will be performed by the two Aldermen of Sport of the municipalities of Leidschendam-Voorburg and The Hague, Mrs Astrid van Eekelen and Mr Hilbert Bredemeijer respectively, a wonderful illustration of our status as a top sports club in The Hague with healthy Voorburg roots. We are proud that we have been able to give our sports accommodation a major boost with these projects.
The program will be accompanied with a T10 match of the first team of VCC that will compete against a selection from The Hague composed by and led by Dutch record international Tim de Leede. Let’s see if the winter training hours made, are converted into performances on the field.
