Leidschendam-Voorburg: Cricket city of the year

At the annual KNCB cricket gala the city council of Leidschendam-Voorburg is awarded the “city of the year” award. The award followed a nomination of VCC where it expresses its gratitude for the cooperation between city council and club at all levels. Specifically the support in acquiring new sight screens and a new artificial was mentioned as well as the cooperation between VCC ground staff and the people taking care of our accommodation from Leidschendam-Voorburg (e.g. during international matches). The alderman of Leidschendam-Voorburg Mrs. Nadine Stemerdink and the chairman of VCC heard of the news during the ADO-Vitesse game at November 22 and celebrated this at a special ceremony at the town hall on December 7, where Mrs. Stemerdink volunteered to host the next KNCB gala in 2016.
