As of 2021, ChicKing, a chain of fast-food restaurants, will be the new name sponsor of The The Hague T20 Cup. The Hague T20 Cup is a series of practice matches to open the cricket season, in which VCC, HBS, HCC and Quick participate. The franchise will soon open its doors in the Mall of The Netherlands and wants to work on its brand exposure.
The last preparation matches before the competition starts – previously the Muntaz T20 Cup – has been a regular series since 2014. The clubs that all play at the highest level in the T20 format have been competing for years for the honor of being the best in the Haaglanden region. Which theyhope to prove in the regular season.
It has now become a series of renowned preparation matches, and ChicKing is happy to link its name to it for three years. The franchisees Ali Qasim and Rehan Waheed on this: “With the opening of ChicKing’s fourth branch in the Netherlands, we were looking for ways to work on our brand awareness. As we are both cricket fans and players, we have sought the connection with VCC. We think that in this way we can achieve great exposure for ChicKing. ”
In addition to becoming name sponsor, ChicKing will also act as shirt sponsor (on the back of the shirt) of VCC 1 and 2. Moreover, the company will provide lunch a number of times during competitions and will receive a billboard at the Westvliet ground.
