Dear VCC supporters,
The VCC Club of 100 supports and enables VCC youth coaching and training.
Now that the corona pandemic is almost behind us and the weather is improving bigtime, we are looking forward to a new cricket season full of energy and optimism. And we would like to look back on the 2021 season.
- Where VCC 1 finished third in 2020, they competed for the national title in 2021. Unfortunately, Punjab turned out to be slightly stronger in the final.
- Our women’s team became national champion in the 40 over competition for the first time in the history of our club. A major achievement to which our home-grown talents made an important contribution.
- Our U15 became national champion. Another talented new generation of VCC players who grew up thanks to your much appreciated contributions!
In the winter we built our own indoor facility. That is not only fantastic news for our own players, but also a wonderful rental object that is used by other clubs. This generates money to invest in further club improvements.
We are going to organise the youth coaching as well as possible to ensure that 2022 will also be a top season. Our qualified youth coaches including Tim de Leede, Viv Kingma, Marc Nota, Steffen Mulder and David Cousins will once again work with our youth this year in the best VCC tradition: hard but fair within the boundaries, socially and friendly outside.
We are committed to making VCC even better, stronger and more inclusive in the long term and are very grateful if you want to contribute to that!
You can do so at IBAN: NL34ABNA0967776902 in the name of ‘P. de Leede inzake Club van 100’ in Leidschendam (ABN Amro Bank Leidschendam-Voorburg).
(Mind you, the name Club of 100 dates back to the ‘guilder’ age, so with the equivalent (€ 50) or any other amount you help the club enormously!)
Above all, we wish you and your loved ones good health and sincerely hope that we will soon be able to see and speak with you again at the cricket ground.
Many thanks and best regards,
Tim & Patrick de Leede
