Although both gentlemen are still in the midst of handing over, both Geert Rutgers (after 7 years!) and Surajit Banerjee (after 1 year) have indicated that they will resign their duties as treasurer and youth chairman respectively at the next AGM. The board is very grateful to both gentlemen for their services rendered. Among other things, this will be discussed in more detail at the spring AGM.
The board is very pleased that two people have been found willing to take their places and become part of the VCC board. Julia Corder, almost her lifetime VCC member and very successful captain of the VCC ladies in recent years, will take on the organization of the clubhouse as board member clubhouse. A very challenging task, but we are confident it is in good hands with Julia. In addition, Tom Archer-father of Albie (U7) and Milou (U9)-is ready to lead the VCC youth into the next phase as youth chairman. His experience as Head of Extra Curricular Activities at the Britisch School in Voorschoten will undoubtedly help him in this regard.
Also, there will be a change of portfolios: with the inauguration of the indoor hall and artifical grass pitches, a specific commissioner of accommodation is no longer required. Investments in and around the sports park that will prove necessary, Victor van Koolwijk will include in his new role as treasurer. Matters directly related to the clubhouse will be turned over by him to Julia Corder.
