Sometimes you wonder what happened to illustrious clubs. VOC was national champion 11 times, ironically for the first time in VCC’s founding year, 1932. Last weekend VCC – without Viv Kingma, Michael Levitt and Noah Croes – bowled VOC out for 84 (Kaplan 4-21) and chased that total in 11.4 overs (Carl Mumba 31 not out). Painful and actually unfortunate for Dutch cricket. Hopefully there will be an energetic and competitive VOC 1 again in the foreseeable future.
