7 June 2014 – We played Kampong again at home. Lost toss didn’t matter as we would have batted anyway. Aryan (31 retired) and Jamieson (35 retired) got is off to a great start with many boundaries each and a nice 6 from Jamieson to finish. Aarav (30 retired with 4 boundaries) also played some great shots to keep the score racing along. James and Michael did a nice job scoring quickly with a boundary each. We finished our 20 overs with a handsome score of 142 for the loss of 4 wickets. Our bowling and fielding was top-shelf resulting in a tumble of wickets. James bowled a fantastic spell and narrowly missed a hat-trick, finishing with 3 wickets for 10 runs. He was closely followed by Aryan with 2 wickets for 12 runs. One wicket each for Aarav and Jamie. Kampong were 21 for 6 wickets but some nice rear-guard batting from their captain Gijs and Nielson resulted in Kampong finishing their innings on 87. The VCC U12 2 train rolls on… Coach Mark
