Salland won the toss and VCC U17 was ready to bowl and field. With motivation, they got their first wicket in the 3rd over by Shirsak’s bowling, caught by Farhaan. After the wicket, Salland batted well with some good boundaries, till the leggy Sachal came and took back-to-back wickets while from the other end Carlijn started the over with a first ball wicket, caught by Danial.
The boys and the girl did what they were good at, and that’s teamwork. Bowling good line and length and good fielding. As a result, wickets fell in the 9th over by Danial, clean bowled and in10th over Farhaan took another wicket, caught by Harris. Then in the 16th over Harris got a wicket, clean bowled in the 18th over first ball Aldino took the last wicket caught by Alejo.
With some extras Salland’s total score was 82.
After a little break VCC U17 started their chase with Danial and Aldino, with a solid opening of 24 runs partnership, after which Aldino got lbw. Then leggy Sachal came in and hit straight 2 boundaries and was looking in hurry to finish it quick but Salland didn’t give up and got 3 quick wickets, but that was not enough to challenge VCC U17 as they finished the game in the 13th over.
After the match, the teams, umpires and coaches had a great dinner and dessert.
