Few players in the history of Dutch cricket have a record to compare with that of Voorburg’s Tim de Leede: he played for the national side more times than anyone else (236 matches, 45 of them as captain), making 4761 runs at an average of 25.19 and taking 214 wickets at 25.69, both aggregates being national records; in his 349 matches in the top flight for his club he made 12,041 runs at 39.60 and took 476 wickets at 19.30.
