VCC lost the toss and had to bat with a wet outfield and massive boundaries. Floris opened the batting and got retired in about the 20th over, and whilst scoring his runs managed to choose his fielders wisely. He was supported well by Alyan who got bowled by a good ball. Rohaan, Wouter and Jasper all came in and brought positivity to the innings and continued the momentum. VCC ended with 133 for 9 of their 30 overs. The running between the wickets was very impressive. Rohaan (2 for 7 off 4 overs) and Julia (0 – 7 off 2 overs) bowled four tight overs with Rohaan picking up a wicket. Alyan bowled outstandingly with figures of 1 for 5 off 4 overs, (two runs of them being my fault). All the bowlers generally bowled tightly, and VCC fielded extremely well, not dropping a catch, and getting a run out. Floris finished up the innings with 3 – 8 of 2.3. Quick looked like a very strong side, so it was a very good win for the under 14s, and its very exciting for me as the ability shown was very impressive. Coach Josh
