Voorburg Cricket Club is delighted to welcome Madison Landsman to our women’s team for the upcoming 2024 cricket season. Madison (20), an all-rounder from South Africa, has already made headlines with her historic performance at the inaugural U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup, where she claimed the first-ever hat-trick of the tournament (https://fb.watch/rsHXM4A13i/).
In the U19 World Cup match against Scotland, Madison showcased her formidable legspin bowling, capturing 4 wickets for 16 runs and playing a crucial role in her team’s 44-run victory. Her exceptional skill was first recognized when she was just a child playing in her backyard, leading to her early selection for the Eastern Gauteng Ladies Provincial Cricket Team at the age of 14.
Madison expresses her enthusiasm about joining VCC: “I’m ecstatic to be joining VCC this year! I’m so excited to come to the Netherlands and I can’t wait to experience such a beautiful country. The Netherlands has always been a special place to me because of my family and it is a proud part of our heritage. I’m so grateful for this wonderful opportunity!”
Madison is set to arrive at the beginning of May, and we are eager to welcome such a talented and inspiring player to our community.
Welcome to VCC, Madison! We can’t wait to welcome you to our club!
