VCC 2 trad in een mooie mix van talent en experience aan tegen Quick Hg 3. Captain Patrick, die waarnam voor zijn geblesseerde broer Tim, won gelukkig de toss, waardoor we eerst mochten batten. We maakten er maar liefst 368 in 40 overs! Saqib Butt (96) en Abbass Zaidi (82) struck the ball really well, attacking from the word go. Runs op het bord, waardoor onze jonge talenten Mario Singh en Remco van der Giessen ‘uren’ konden maken at the crease. Mario een mature 42 en Remco (14 jaar) maakte zijn allereerste runs (7) op seniorniveau. Dave Dormits (back from injury) 43 not out. Guidy Schoew en Faisal Janjua bowlden samen zeven overs alvorens de regen verder spelen onmogelijk maakte. Aan Remco hebben we een prima keeper! Run feast for VCC 2 but no result Quick Hg 3 – VCC 2.

Saqib Butt (96) and Abbass Zaidi (82) struck the ball really well, attacking from the word go. So we had runs on the board, which allowed our young talents Mario Singh and Remco van der Giessen some time at the crease. Mario made a mature 42 and Remco (14 years old) made his very first runs (7) at senior level. Dave Dormits (back from injury) 43 not out. Guidy Schoew and Faisal Janjua bowled seven overs between them before rain made further play impossible. Remco promises to be a fine keeper!
