VCC Women’s team delivered a strong performance at the recent indoor cricket tournament, finishing in second place behind Kampong. The tournament showcased excellent teamwork, determination, and skill from the entire squad.
The day began with a closely contested match against Ajax. VCC edged out a win thanks to strong batting contributions from Louise, Varsha, and Medha. In the field, Divya impressed with a sharp diving catch against Groen Geel, underlining the team’s commitment and energy throughout the day.
The momentum carried forward into the next matches, where VCC secured victories over Groen Geel and CCB. Batters Thejal and Willemijn added valuable runs, with Willemijn retiring after a strong 20* in one of the matches.
The team’s only defeat came against a strong Kampong side, who ultimately took first place. VCC’s second-place finish reflects a consistent and well-rounded team effort across all matches.
